By reading this you will understand what I have been going through and at the same time help me proofread this letter to my assistant principal (Gill) and band director (Kim).
Dear Mr.Kim and Ms.Gill,
I am writing to both of you because I found it most convienent to address you both on this matter, because i have questions and concerns that require both your attention. If convienent, I hope you can both read all of this letter, to understand the ground upon which I stand. For Ms. Gill, I need more information because some of the notes we made when I came to you with this problem need update. For Mr. Kim, I want to hear what you think of a proposal I am about to make that can fix this schedule nightmare. However, it might be compromise on my participation in band, and I can understand that how inconvienent that can be for you.
Recap: Due to conflict with the master schedule, my classes cannot fit all in together in harmony in my schedule. The periods that i can take these classes (which are all important and required classes for graduation and/or IB diploma) overlap with each other. After much time and effort with Ms. Gill we came to the conclusion that the most clean cut way to solve the problem was to remove wind ensemble. However, this is not the solution we were looking for, so she sent me back home with notes from our discussion to give me time to look for and think about my options.
First off, I'd like to ask Ms. Gill for information for when IB Chem SL will took place, because here, it is written that HL is at 6th period. I wanted to clarify the information, because it is the time for SL that I need.
However, because the schedule did not work out in the first place, I will assume that either the "HL" was miswritten, or that the schedule is still in the same conflict even if Chem SL was in a different period.
Solution: There are possibly 2 solutions to this problem that I can see with band still in the picture. 1)When 5th period wind ensemble is removed, all my other classes will fall into place, and a hole will be left in 7th period due to the extra space created from the removal of Wind ensemble. My proposal for Mr. Kim is that I be allowed to do "independant study" for wind ensemble in that 7th period. I'll just lock myself in a practice room for that period and practice the music that we would be playing for wind ensemble. You may update me on your lesson plan during jazz band (give me music, tell me what you are going to practice etc.). Later on in the year, when we are preparing wind ensemble music, I believe that i can get an idea of the taste of playing the band. By having maybe one of my trumpeteering peers take a tape recorder to class, and recording the band when they play, handing it to me before 7th period. This way, I can play with the band and get the feel of the tempo and tuning. I can understand Mr. Kim's concern about the damage that may do to the sound, but I will try my best to minimize the damage (if any). Because it is possible that this is the only way i can participate in (concert) band at all.
2) If Chem SL happens to be in a different period than 6th period. Then that opens up a possibility of me independantly studying another class (french), however, at this moment, the above solution is the simplest and most convienent (at least to my opinion). This is because believe that I will find it very hard to indenpendantly study for classes such as AP calculus, IB americas, or IB english (IB chem can not be done by independant study because of the need of lab credits in class).
Thank you very much for your time.

Weird sentence, I think you meant: "However, it might compromise my participation in band, and I can understand how inconvienent that may be for you."
