Oy, that was quite the painful experience. I just made it to band camp right before it started (I went straight there, didn't shower or brush teeth or anything), and there I was bossing (and to some small extent, watching mary boss) a bunch of 15 yr olds around for 6 hours. The other 2 drum majors however had already been practicing stuff for 1.5 hours, so I got very behind in a lot of technical stuff. But that's only a small sacrifice, the vaudevillain meeting was fun/important, and the extra hours spent at the Pipia's was awesome too. I'm sure I'll catch right up, and everything will be fine. In fact, today I feel mostly caught up now, my jabs (*edit* jabs are not when I poke at the air, jabs is a term we use for "short choregraphed cool looking things that are done within 8 beats, that are done with a military baton") just need to get faster and more consistant.
Grrr... bad news, I hate how the band is never going to port townsend anymore, they keep scheduling prom on the same date, and it really screws it up. Port townsend is a nice place to parade in, this is really annoying. Oh well.
Umm...I don't have much else to say... bunch of school crap, that's all.
