Long time no post.

So, yeah. I watched all of "Waking Life" last sunday, a lots of it was interesting, although i can't say i agree with very much that was said in there. Very interesting concepts though.
If you don't know of it already it's a really weird movie like cartoon that has lots of little mind-bogging anecdotes, mostly philosophically related. Amazingly, if you watch on, it has a plot as well.

So yeah, when I saw that, I realized that I'm as crazy as that old man too, just like those guys. All theory and no action.
And looking back at my thoughts on morality (which only the first half of is posted), I decided that I should become a vegitarian. At least for now, to see how that works out for me.
So here's how I'll approach it (here is where I realized that I was wrong about compromise, I hated compromise because it takes away from the truth. Yes, I thought that ideas can be adjusted to avoid being terribly wrong through discussion and experience, but I abhorred the idea of compromising one's philosophy just so that he can avoid conflict. BUT, I realized that this is why I had no action, because what I wanted was so far ahead of myself that the inconvienence would be discouraging enough for me to not try. SO, I will compromise with who I am now and where i want to be, for now, and progess is taken in steps).) Ok, just to remind my readers what I'm doing right now... "Here's how I'll approach this" is where I left off.

  1. I will not actively choose to eat meat.
  2. I will avoid meat laden entrees (which is easy to do with asian entrees at home).
  3. I will not order any foods with meat involved in when I eat out.
  4. I will avoid eating meat in general.
  5. But I will not waste food, for that is a even greater wrong, If something i get at home, i.e. instant pizza, that has meat on it, I will eat it. This is the only exception.
  6. Oh yes, and by meat, I mean any thing that had to be removed from an animal with a brain.
  7. I will eat eggs for now, just because they are such a large part of my lifestyle and that it doesn't COMPLETELY fit into the catagory of "meat" i just described.

Oh yes, in case you didn't already know. IHS jazz band 2004~2005 wins 3rd at clark jazz festival. We beat everyone who beat us last year, even though we got the same placing. So I give us "the most consistant band award"

That's good stuff.

And go Tara for playing with a serious injury.

And...I'm sry, rhythm section, u didn't get to hear Mr. Kim use the F-word. I'm not surprized we didn't get anything above 3rd though, we rightfully lost.
