After watching the play about 8 times, I was finally moved by the song Anatevka. I dunno, it gets to you emotionally after a while, or the actors got better.

Anyways, being bored and inspired, I made an interlake version of the song Anatevka. Dedicated to the seniors. Although it would make even more sense if they were kicking out the students during the contruction, but they didn't (yet?), but it still works for the seniors.

"A little bit of this, a little bit of that.
A lab, a desk, a book, a mouse.

Someone should have set a match to this place years ago.
A bench, a tree.
So, what's a shelf? Or a ipod?
People who pass through Interlake High don't even know they've been here.
A stick of wood. A plate of lunch.

What do we leave? Nothing much.
Only Interlake High.

Interlake High, Interlake High.
Overworked, Underscored Interlake High.
Where else could Lunchtime be so sweet?
Interlake High, Interlake High.
Intimate, obstinate Interlake High,
Where I know everyone I meet.

Soon I'll be a stranger in a strange new place,
Searching for an old familiar face
From Interlake High.

I belong in Interlake High,
Tumble-down, crappy course Interlake High.
Ghetto little Highschool, little class of mine"
