I realize that i don't like modern pop music because it doesn't apply to me. It's not the way i view my life or the type of relationship I can relate to.

I mean, I love anything with a good beat or melodicness, but when the lyrics don't apply to me, or if the lyrics are the main attraction of the music, then it's just an automatic turnoff. Call me conservative if you want, but old (70's and before) music is just as good if not better, so why should I listen to crap i don't agree with? And even the best artists nowadays use synthesizers for their accompanyment, which also kills it for me. I mean, people who have been listening to their whole lives probably don't notice, and let it affect them without giving due credit to it's origin. I mean, it's a cheap copy of the manifestation of a artist's emotions into their instruments, so a nerd on the computer can make a sound that's similar to it and reaps all the benefits of the kingdom of sounds of music. Just because the normal population can't distinguish the difference, the precedents for emotions caused by sounds are now easily created by a synthesizer without an artist pouring out their heart.

Wow i just ranted like crazy, i just went off didn't I?

Yeah, well, Me stop now.
