Sep. 5th, 2004 12:27 amSoo... Weird thing today. After dinner, i saw the second half of "The Last Samurai" which turned out to be a much better movie than I heard it to be. Not bad at all, much better than other crap I've seen (that ohter people thought was great. *coughminorityreportcough*. I mean, you don't have to agree with it, but it does a good job of entertianing and inspiring you. The weird part is that 40 minutes after I ate dinner, (after i finished the movie) I suddenly felt really really hungry, way hungrier than i was right before dinner. It doesn't make any sense, I was filled to the top at the end of dinner, but then in less than an hour I get shark hungry?
It's happened before, and i managed to just ignore it, but this time it was much too strong, I snacked quite a bit, about the size of a 130 lb girl's lunch. Still hungry as I type, I decided not the eat anymore.
Oh another note, can you believe this? China counted the medals that taiwan took from the olympics into their total medal count for china. How shameless is that? They didn't pay for them, didn't train them, didn't give birth to them, and took credit for their earnings? That's just plain dishonorable.
So, i finished my packet a few days ago, and I'm not going to turn it in anytime soon. I'm sure i have more to add.
And recently I've been doing some leisure reading (yay!! I miss doing that, haven't in a while), I picked up "The Shadow of the Torturer", nice book about a alternate world, called "Urth". Considering how much i despise the corrupting and corrosive effects of some of our social expectations, values, traditions and history, It's nice to read about some place that is entirely different, refreshing to imagine some other types of problems.
