May. 12th, 2004 02:51 pmGuess what people!?
I'm running for class president. At first, I heard that only one person was running, so I decided to run, because the american system of government, law, business, etc. works best with competition.
However, I heard that there are over 5 runners for prez now. The problem (or good thing) is, once I get going, I'm not gonna turn back (even though I decided this morning). I think I have to potential to win, or at least pose some good or better competition to the for the future prez.
Will I have time? Of course, I am willing to stop playing sports if I make the position, why? Because I would be of more use as president then as athelete.
Will I quit band? Apparently not, because if I go, Interlake marching band and jazz band goes from lil hope, to no hope at all. And if my goal as class president is to help interlake (class of 06) in it's road towards glory and properity, then quitting band would be hypocritism.
It was interesting, running for president was all a good idea and all, and I was eager to do so, And I picked up the form and started to fill it out. Funny thing is, when I started to circle president (and till I finished) for "what will you be running for" my hand shook and my adrenaline started to go. It's just amusing how my body reacts to such simple matters in the mind
