Equilibrium

I should not have watched Equilibrium yesterday, I think I decided to because I knew I wouldn't be able to today. Oh well, that was tight, but I guess it's not a a movie I'd like to see more than twice. Sure, the action I'd see a million times more, but like "minority report" it's a watered down intellectual movie. I mean some movies you have to watch 3 times to catch everything, and after seeing equilibrium the 1st time in summerbreak I thought it might be one of those, but nope, I was wrong. I had to watch it this weekend though, since I picked it up at the library and am required to give it back thursday.
The most intriguing part is that the usurper of power happens to feel emotion himself, but is overcome by greed and pride, so ends up throwing a ruthless campaign vs. the resistance. Also, interesting was how Preston, a "peace-keeper", is impressed with the worked he has done in the end. But the fact is that he has returned mankind into constant warfare with itself.
Favorite Line: "I see you're practicing cleric, maybe that's why your the best."
"Maybe I'm just better."
